    About You Hue

Hi, I’m Jill 👋 — the face behind You Hue. I’ve always loved self-expression through fashion, style and colour. Becoming a Colour Consultant lets me bring together the things I care about most: creativity, sustainability and helping people feel like the best version of themselves.

Colour Analysis isn’t about rules or being told what not to wear. It’s about clarity. It’s about uncovering the shades that make you look alive, confident and effortlessly put-together.

Yes, Colour Analysis has been around since the 80s — but I promise, this isn’t about shoulder pads and stereotypes (no shade, I love a shoulder pad now and then 😉). I’m here to make colour feel contemporary, wearable and totally relevant to you.

    Whether you want to:

💸 stop wasting money on clothes that never feel quite right

💫 find confidence after a life change

✨ just finally understand which colours make you glow…

…I’ve got you covered. Every session is tailored to your lifestyle, not just the theory.

    my mission!

I help people find their confidence through colour & style. If you have undergone a change in your life, I can help you harmonise and complement what is on the inside to the outside.

Using colour analysis and wardrobe editing techniques, I show people how to invest in fashion that is best for them AND the planet 🌍 You will no longer be under the spell of a fashion industry who slavishly follow trends.

My approach to colour and style is completely personal to you and your lifestyle… not your ‘body type’.

I am an advocate of shopping second-hand and would like you to be as well!

You Hue is about buying less and buying better. I can help you make more mindful purchases. You will buy less, wear more and help stop the deluge of clothing from ending up in landfill.

If any of this sounds like your vibe, let’s chat about colour!

    say 'no' to fast fashion

The fashion industry uses a lot of resources and the negative environmental impacts are well documented. Part of this journey for me is to buy less and buy better.

Ideally, I want to purchase a garment that is made of natural fibres and is of a really high quality. I want to wear it for as long as possible. Before I spend my resources on a particular piece of clothing (and by resources, I mean money and the time spent caring for the garment) how do I know it is…

    THE RIGHT COLOUR FOR ME?

Having spent 20 years wearing light blue, one of my least flattering colours (not my choice, see photo!), what other colours have snuck into my (and your!) wardrobe that perhaps aren’t doing us any favours?

    getting your 'colours done'

I had my ‘colours done’ (this will become common parlance once you have had them done too!) in December 2022. I remember turning up in a pair of blue denim jeans and a light grey t-shirt-  the so-called ‘uniform’ of the chic and neutral. Very shortly into the consultation I realised that the light grey t-shirt made me look like a corpse. Not a good look, I looked so tired despite being well rested.

    I ❤️ Vinted

My consultation was illuminating, informative and fun! Armed with this information, I went through my wardrobe and edited it. Goodbye light grey! There are now a couple of gaps, but you know what, I feel like I always have something to wear and I always feel put together. Those pieces that I was never quite sure about have found new homes through Vinted, and this has unlocked the potential of my wardrobe.

Whilst I am on the topic of Vinted, I so often see when browsing for a piece, the statements “not my colour” and “colour doesn’t really suit me.”

    What if I could:
Not only explain why this is the case, but show you!
Help you save money and provide you some assurance you are purchasing the best pieces of clothing for YOU.
